Services.
Support for feeding, sleep and early parenting, without guilt, pressure or perfection.
Early parenting can feel messy, emotional and confusing.
Feeding might not be going how you hoped. Sleep may feel unpredictable.
You might simply want to talk things through with someone experienced.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out.
I offer a range of midwife-led, lactation and infant support services designed to meet you where you are, whether you’re pregnant, newly postpartum, or navigating life with a baby or toddler.
You’re welcome to explore the options below and choose what feels right for you.
Feeding Support (IBCLC)
Gentle, thorough feeding support for breastfeeding, bottle feeding and combination feeding.
This includes:
-
Gentle, thorough support for breastfeeding, bottle feeding and combination feeding.
These sessions focus on understanding how feeding is working for you and your baby, addressing pain or concerns, and building a plan that feels realistic and supportive for your family.
-
Targeted, supportive care for breast pain, inflammation, blocked ducts and recurrent mastitis, with a focus on comfort, feeding support and understanding what’s happening in your body.
This section is about helping you make sense of your symptoms, supporting feeding in a way that feels manageable, and guiding you through appropriate next steps.
Support may include:
a detailed feeding and breast health assessment
discussing symptoms and how inflammation can affect feeding
education around breast care and inflammation management
support with positioning and milk removal strategies
guidance on when medical review is important
coordination with your GP or other health professionals where needed
Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) may be offered where clinically appropriate as part of a broader care plan.
LLLT is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that some families choose to use alongside feeding support and medical care to assist with pain and tissue healing.
Every situation is different. Some families need short-term guidance, others benefit from ongoing support. There is no single “right” path.
The goal is always to help you feel informed, supported, and more comfortable while protecting your feeding relationship and your wellbeing.
-
A detailed, real-time assessment of how your baby feeds at the breast or bottle, and how they use their tongue, lips, jaw and palate during feeding.
This session looks at:
coordination and rhythm
stamina and fatigue during feeds
latch quality and seal
milk transfer patterns
oral movement and strength
comfort for both you and your baby
Informed by oral motor therapy principles, this assessment helps build a clearer picture of how feeding is working, not just whether milk is being taken.
It can be helpful when:
feeds are painful or uncomfortable
your baby seems unsettled, noisy or fatigued when feeding
feeds are very long or frequent
progress feels slower than expected
there are concerns about tongue or lip mobility
feeding difficulties persist despite other support
The goal is to gently identify patterns that may be contributing to feeding challenges, provide clear education, and guide appropriate next steps or referrals if needed.
There is no pressure toward any particular intervention. Support is always tailored to your baby, your goals, and what feels right for your family.
-
Balanced, evidence-informed support for families navigating possible tongue or lip ties, from first concerns through to aftercare if a release is chosen.
This section is about helping you understand what’s being observed, what it may mean for feeding and comfort, and what your options are, without pressure or assumptions.
Support may include:
discussing signs and patterns seen during feeding
explaining how tongue and lip mobility can affect function
talking through assessment options and referral pathways
preparing questions for other health professionals involved in your baby’s care
supporting informed decision-making that aligns with your values and goals
If your family chooses to proceed with a release, I also offer preparation and oral habilitation support before and after the procedure, including:
helping your baby prepare for the change in oral movement
supporting feeding in the early days after release
education around oral exercises and care
setting realistic expectations for recovery and progress
Every family’s situation is different. Some choose to pursue further assessment or procedures, others do not. Both choices are respected and supported.
My role is to help you feel informed, steady and supported while you consider what feels right for your baby and your family.
Sleep Support
Gentle, developmentally appropriate sleep support for babies and young children, from the newborn period through to toddlerhood.
Sleep can feel unpredictable, exhausting and confusing, especially when feeding, recovery and emotions are already stretched thin.
My approach to sleep is:
biologically informed
responsive and relationship-centred
protective of feeding
grounded in infant and child development
focused on understanding why sleep looks the way it does
I do not offer sleep training, controlled crying, behaviour modification programs or rigid schedules.
Instead, I support families to:
understand what is normal at different ages and stages
explore how feeding, health, development and environment affect sleep
identify when further assessment or referrals may be helpful
build realistic routines that grow with your child
develop long-term understanding so you can keep troubleshooting with confidence
There are no guarentees for quick fixes, and definitely no one-size-fits-all plans here (I’ll always aim to make your current situation better quickly!)
The goal is steady, sustainable improvement that protects your baby’s wellbeing, your feeding relationship, and your mental health.
Midwifery Support + Education
Sometimes you don’t need a full clinical appointment. You just need a midwife to talk to.
These sessions offer calm, respectful space to ask questions, talk things through, and feel more confident about what you’re experiencing or deciding.
Midwifery support is available for:
-
A calm space to talk through your pregnancy questions, physical changes, results, care options and upcoming decisions.
These sessions focus on helping you understand what’s happening in your body, what your choices are, and how to prepare for birth and early parenting in a way that feels informed and steady.
-
Gentle, practical education to help you understand how feeding works, what to expect in the early days, and how to recognise when support may be helpful.
This can include:
how milk production begins
early feeding behaviours
common challenges
realistic expectations
how to access support after birth
Designed to build confidence, not pressure.
-
A safe, respectful space to talk through your birth experience, ask any clinical questions, and make sense of what may have happened.
This can be helpful whether your birth felt positive, confusing, unexpected, or difficult.
There is no timeline and no “right” way to feel.
I cannot provide emotional counselling as this is not my area of expertise, but I can refer you to counsellors, psychologists and social workers who work with birth trauma.
-
Support to make sense of different opinions from health professionals, family, friends or online information.
Together we can:
clarify what advice means
discuss risks and benefits
explore alternatives
support informed decision-making that aligns with your values
-
Sometimes you don’t need a specific service, just a midwife to talk to.
These sessions are ideal for:
“Is this normal?” questions
newborn care
feeding concerns
sleep questions
parenting worries
planning next steps
No agenda. No pressure. Just supportive, evidence-informed conversation.
